New shows

We have two new shows confirmed! Together with the great band Illucinoma we will first head for Belgium, the 20th of July and head towards Amsterdam the 27th of July. Check these guys out, because they really deserve your attention!
But first up is the Vlamrock Rally, this saturday, in As (BE). Hope to see you there!

It has been two months since we posted an update on our website, but we haven't been lazing around! The shows in Arnhem and Soest went great and we want to thank the Willemeen venue, the Artishock venue, Arcadya Lake, Bloodshift, Servantum and Endless Cycle for making this two special evenings. We wish Bloodshift the best of luck in the finals of Metal Battle.
Furthermore, we have confirmed our first show abroad, in Belgium. We have been asked to play at the Vlamrock Preselections and we are very happy to do so! In the meantime we are still in writing mode and we are creating some cool new stuff!

Semi final Metal Battle

Substance won the first round of Metal Battle! We want to thank all the other bands, the jury and the organisation for a great evening! With this victory, we are going through to the semi-final, which takes place at the 17th of March. Details of this show will be announced soon, so keep a close eye on this website to come and check us out at the semi-final of Metal Battle.

Our gig at Todo went very well and we got a great response! We want to give a big thumbs up for Original Taste for one last time. They decided to quit and they got a worthy goodbye and gave an awesome show. Next up is Metal Battle. We are selected to compete in the Metal Battle, which we are very looking forward to. We hope to see you in the Little Devil, Tilburg (NL) and support us and our music!

New show Friday the 13th!

A new show is added to our schedule. This time it is with our good friends of Original Taste and This is Not OK! at Todo, Best (NL). Prepare for a versatile evening, there's going to be ska, punk and metal all over the place! And it will be the last show of Original Taste. We are honoured to play with them during their last show. It will be one hell of a party!

Last-minute show in Wageningen

We have been asked to rock the evening at Cafe De Overkant in Wageningen (NL). The show will take place this friday, the 18th of November. Yes, we love last-minute shows!
Also rocking this evening is KYU.
If you can't make it to Wageningen, do not worry, because this saturday we will be playing in Nijmegen, at JC Staddijk. So make sure to come to one of these shows and bang your head with Substance!

Thanks to all our fans, friends and family, we had a great evening last saturday, when we released Unreality. It was a rockin' evening with a great atmosphere.
We especially would like to thank Eyescream for warming up the crowd, which they did great.
And Unreality is still going strong, because we have another, enthusiastic review from MusicfromNL! They give a lot of positive feedback which we would like to share with you.

Hi everybody,
We are happy to announce the date for the EP-release! The 10th of September we will release Unreality at JC-Todo in Best. We have asked our friends of Eyescream to kick in, so they will open for us. The doors will be open at 20.30 and entrance is free. This will be the first opportunity to get the EP and listen to some new material as well! So get your asses over there and bring all your friends, neighbours, parents and kids.

Yes! Our website is up! The official band website of Substance is now on the internet. Thanks to Lotte Bijl, who put this website together. The website artwork is coherent with the EP artwork, which is created by Bas Wijers.
The EP is ready and as we speak, we are busy to set up a tour to promote 'Unreality' as best as we can, because we are very excited to let you hear what we have been up to the past year.
We hope you are as excited as we are and we hope to see you and speak with you on our tour!

Cancelled show OJC The Curve

Unfortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, we had to cancel our gig at OJC The Curve in Echt/Susteren.
We would love to make up the damage sometime, but first things first, our EP is being mixed and it already sounds promising!
